Several weeks late!!!

Today is Monday, the 23rd. Today i went to Castle Bakery with Amber, testing out the food for when we go on my Birthday. (pwuahahaa)

It was very oishii. ^_^
This past Saterday night, we went and witnessed at Mihama. We whipped out some guitars and drums and worshipped Jesus on the corner. We handed out invites to the church, and got to talk with alot of people. It was a super blessed night, because the next day at church, a couple we talked to came to church!! They had been looking for one for a long while. (Joel and Hannah where their names)

And Yesterday, Sunday, we had the church dedication. We invited everyone to the cafe for a Curry Dinner Feast! and we showed them the new additions to the building. We have it set up all sweet on the roof now, with a fire pit and some benches and tables. It's a very nice getaway. =]
We had a free homework day today, instead of an adventure day. Some of the students went to the beach, and i think some went shopping. Everyone is gunna come over to the Ruiz' house to watch The Last Samurai! yeaaahhh some of the students haven't seen it!
That's all for now, hope your all doing well!

(hey...what's that in the background??)

Hey everyone,

So yesterday (Monday) we all went too go see the Sakura blossoms up north (cherry blossoms). It was an exciting day! we climbed a million and one steps, and at the top there greeted us an old shrine. It was interesting to see such a thing (we don't really have anything much like it in the states...), and it was sad, as i was heading back down afterwards (I was the last one up, and the last one down) too pass an older couple, and too hear them ringing the bell too pray to the god['s] and ask for help/luck or whichever type it was for. I understand it is a tradition so driven in that too some it is not even really like they are praying to a god, but it is still sad and so lost.

What's really cool is that everyone here at the college is told/taught to be respectful of the Japanese and their culture (and not too tear it apart), which shows alot of love to them.

We also stopped at a place with the "Elephant" rock, and two different beaches, which were beautiful. I'm trying to get my slideshow straghtened out to show you all the photos i took, but it isn't really working at the moment...

so here are a few that i took.

Classes are going well, but please pray that I (and all the students!) would be able to keep up with homework, but not neglect our quiet time with Jesus. It is harder to balance everything here because we do so much in each day, and sometimes things come up fast and we need to go help with something or we get an opportunity. And you just gotta go. ^_^ i love it though.
I learned more Japanese today. It's so much fun to talk with everyone at church, they are eager to help whenever you make it known you are trying to learn the language. I learned "Hisashiburi", which means "long time no see". (i used it on almost everyone in the church ahaha). I can also say that my cup is empty on the inside!!
That's all i can think of at this moment, thanks for reading ^_^

So, I got some time to walk around Ginowan and took some pictures.

I'm putting them up on Facebook, but I will post a couple here for those who do not use facebook.

Thank you for your prayers, everything is going very good here. I am enjoying myself greatly.

I made it to Okinawa! PRAISE THE LORD!!

I got in two days ago (Sunday evening), and everything went well at the airports. I didn't get lost!
Today is the start of classes, so all the students are getting their books (which came in today) and heading off for the first ones. I don't have any classes on tuesday (Mondays are adventure days!) so i am going to do chuck tracks. I'm going to sit in on the Japanese class later though (i'm not required to take it because i have already taken formal japanese classes).

Everything is beautiful here, the sky always has clouds in it. The way they built their buildings and roads is so interesting, i went walking yesterday, and it's amazing just to walk down roads and see how the houses are tucked in everywhere. i will post some pictures soon.

Tommy shared for devotions this morning, and Niel (that's prolly spelled wrong) led in worship. it was beautiful, I love it.

For now, that's all. I don't know what today will hold, but it's gunna be sweet.
